Transport for NSW’s EV Charging Locations dataset was updated on 13 October 2026. The listing contains an important qualification: the locations cover government-funded chargers. It should not be read as a complete inventory of every charger available to Australian drivers.
A location appearing in a dataset also does not establish its live availability at the moment you arrive. Before a longer trip, check the charging operator’s current information for connector compatibility, access arrangements, operating status and payment requirements.
Write down an alternative charging stop rather than relying on a single location. Consider the route, the vehicle’s current charge and the conditions expected on the journey. Treat an estimated range display as planning information rather than a guarantee that a particular destination is reachable in every circumstance.
For regular local driving, compare public charging access with the arrangements available at home or work. A map is a starting point for that conversation. If a vehicle repeatedly refuses a compatible charger, record the charger location and any fault message so the next diagnostic discussion can distinguish vehicle concerns from site-specific problems.
