22 October 2026
An Australian Government recall published on 21 October 2026 identifies certain Ford Ranger and Everest vehicles with a 10.1-inch centre display. Notice REC-006748 lists 1,085 affected vehicles and campaign number 26C42. Its variant description refers to certain 2024–2026 model-year vehicles, so the VIN list is more useful than the headline year alone.
The notice says the display can go blank, preventing the reversing-camera image from appearing. It identifies an increased accident risk for people behind the vehicle. A recall notice does not mean every Ranger or Everest is affected.
Owners should use the VIN list in the official notice and follow Ford’s instructions. The recall directs affected owners to an authorised Ford dealer for a free remedy; Ford’s customer contact is 13 3673. Use that official channel for questions about your particular vehicle.
Keep the recall reference and any dealer correspondence with your vehicle records. Routine workshop servicing and a manufacturer recall are different jobs: booking a normal service does not establish that the recall repair has been completed.
